Ode to Childhood
My grandmother was the head of the household in the village. My sister and I spent a lot of our summers in childhood here. When my sister and I grew up and that house was long empty I asked my sister to try on our grandmother's clothes. This series is a memory of childhood, the continuity of generations and matriarchy as the basis of Ukrainian society.
During the Bird In Flight magazine course, my mentor Oleksandr Liapin said about this series:"Pasha's sister has a face like an icon. She fit confidently and firmly into this not even crumbling world. She suddenly showed that it all hangs on her, has held on before and will always hold on. She is the keeper. Pasha dug even deeper, he touched upon the theme of woman in Ukrainian existence, her absolute role and absolute power."
